Cairn plc. has a unique opportunity for a high calibre Business & Project Support within the Business Development Team. Reporting to the Director of Business Development the successful candidate will have the following key responsibilities and requirements.

Key responsibilities

Typically, the candidate will be expected to undertake and assist with the following duties:

  • Support the Director of Business Development in providing a well-organised and efficient system of work to deliver the desired business outcomes,
  • Responsible for diary management and expense management,
  • Preparation of monthly summary progress reports for the Business Development Function.
  • Complete project management administrative tasks,
  • Attend relevant meetings with the Director of Business Development, capturing actions and monitoring outcomes for the Director of Business Development,
  • Schedule collaborator meetings, document and generate reports,
  • Communicate with various stakeholders across the business to ensure everyone stays aligned on project actions and targets,
  • Preparation for Leadership Team and Executive reviews (liaising with functional leads for slides, meeting and attendance and minutes),
  • Be a point of contact for queries and escalate as appropriate with functional leads,
  • Coordinate administration of relevant legal documentation including arrangements of fee’s/payments for statutory bodies,
  • Any other ad-hoc requirements as required,
  • Assist the budgeting process.

Tasks will be allocated to reflect increasing levels of development and experience.

The candidate – key requirements

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Construction or property experience is advantageous.
  • Advanced in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to communicate at all levels across functional departments
  • A strong ability to multi-task and work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment where relationships, organisation, and a high attention to detail is required.
  • Self-motivated team player but with the ability to work on one’s own initiative.
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
  • Enthusiastic and willing to learn.
