Cairn plc. has a unique opportunity for a high calibre Business Development Executive within the Business Development Team, to manage the successful OMC/TIC process. Reporting to the Head of Sales Operations, the successful candidate will have the following key responsibilities and requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in Operational Processes: Aid in the management and documentation of the OMC/TIC appointment process, ensuring smooth transitions through various stages. Support the organisation and maintenance of essential documentation within the DMS for accessibility and efficiency. 
  • Support Process Management: Help define criteria for the RFP process and assist in coordinating with Planning, Design, and Construction teams to ensure projects align with OMC requirements from start to finish. 
  • Facilitate Communication: Act as a supportive link for all OMC/TIC communications internally and with external stakeholders, ensuring effective information sharing and collaboration. 
  • Aid in Compliance Efforts: Support the Business Development team's compliance with ISO standards by participating in audit meetings, maintaining documentation, and contributing to reports for management review. 
  • Support Sales Operations: Provide assistance to the Head of Sales Operations, including preparing sales reports, aiding in sales activity coordination, and ensuring the seamless execution of sales strategies. 
  • Develop Presentations: Assist in the creation of presentations for internal and external stakeholders, effectively summarising company initiatives, project updates, and critical information. 
  • Administrative Tasks: Help manage the creation of purchase orders and sales receipts, contributing to the accuracy and efficiency of financial processes. 
  • Customer Care Support: Offer support in managing customer inquiries and concerns post-exchange, including handling snagging lists and ensuring customer satisfaction through closure. 

Other Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate across Cairn’s multi-functional construction teams to secure timely delivery of assets
  • Liaise with professional advisors such as agents, property managers, architects, solicitors etc  
  • Proactive day to day management of project delivery agreements
  • Provide weekly/monthly updates across all assets / projects on delivery progress vs. delivery agreement
  • Undertake site visits as required
  • Maintain detailed files and management information to ensure that all commercial activity, milestones and recommended actions are tracked
  • Maintain asset dashboards / trackers

This job specification is a general outline and may vary depending on the specific requirements of the company.

The Candidate:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working in real estate with a Property Economics, Property Development, Commercial Agency, or Estate Management background
  • Commercial valuation and / or agency experience is a distinct advantage
  • Experience using CRM systems
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills required
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
  • Strong problem solving and attention to detail-orientation
  • Excellent working knowledge of latest market norms, end user and Investor requirements
  • An ability to achieve demanding time and quality targets
  • The ability to work independently using their own initiative
  • A clean driving license and have access to vehicle
