We’re looking for a skilled Finishing Foreperson to bring the final touches to life while working alongside a passionate and collaborative team.
Working in our Rahoon, Galway development, you will play a hands-on role in delivering high-quality residential units, taking ownership from plastering stage through to final handover.
This will be a fixed term contract.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Health & Safety Leadership: Take ownership of on-site health and safety, ensuring all work is carried out to the highest standards and in compliance with regulations.
- Programme Management: Understand the delivery programme and RTS/RTO dates, report on progress weekly, and proactively address any delays to keep the project on track.
- Subcontractor Coordination: Manage and coordinate subcontractors and service providers to meet project milestones, including testing and commissioning.
- Quality Assurance: Carry out continuous inspections of on-site works, resolving issues promptly to maintain quality and momentum.
- Documentation & Compliance: Ensure inductions, sign-off sheets, and IFCOs are completed and logged correctly on the DMS platform (Zutec).
- Snagging & Handover: Lead and manage snagging teams to achieve efficient, high-quality unit handovers. Maintain and close out the snag list in coordination with subcontractors.
- Labour & Material Tracking: Complete daily allocation sheets to track site labour and material usage.
- Unit Management: Take ownership of each unit from plastering/skimming through 2nd and 3rd fix, snagging, and final handover.
- Team Engagement: Participate in daily whiteboard meetings and collaborate with the site team to drive performance.
- Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with the Site Administrator, Completions Coordinator, and Sales Team to provide regular updates on unit handovers.
- Customer Service: Engage with homeowners and potential purchasers, delivering a best-in-class customer experience that reflects Cairn’s values.
- Aftercare Support: Address aftercare issues promptly and escalate recurring problems to the Aftercare Team for resolution.
- Brand Representation: Uphold and advocate for the Cairn brand at all times, delivering a high standard of professionalism, workmanship, and customer care.
The Candidate:
- Trade background preferable
- An ability to achieve demanding time and quality targets.
- To have good spoken and written communication skills
- To be methodical, pay attention to detail and be accurate
- To be good at working with people at all levels and willing to work in a team.
- To be self-motivated with ability to work on own initiative
- To be able to co-ordinate a number of different projects at the same time.
- To be willing to accept responsibility for completing designated tasks.
