The Quality Controller will form a key role within the Quality team reporting directly to the Quality Lead. They will liaise with their respective site, quality system and audit teams to advocate, promote, and ensure that Quality is embedded consistently to enable Cairn to scale with confidence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the implementation of project quality processes and procedures with our project teams.
  • Partner with technical teams to develop quality specification standards.
  • Work with our site teams to set-up, implement and interrogate the Quality Management Plan.
  • Promote correct usage and benefits of Quality processes, systems, specifications to create increased awareness, support and adoption.
  • Be the primary point of contact for all site related quality issues and queries.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement amongst project teams.
  • Review the effectiveness of site quality control and assurance processes and procedures.
  • Monitor the ongoing closeout of issues and defects.
  • Analyse trends in project quality statistics using various data sets including aftercare, customer care and project related data.
  • Maintain and update project quality documentation including quality management plans, checklists, benchmarks and all other quality related documents.
  • Work with the Quality systems executive to review and ensure all Monthly quality reports are issued to site teams.
  • Conduct project quality audits for compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and the Quality Management System
  • Refine and embed a Quality audit process to identify areas for improvement and highlight areas for change. Co-ordinate with the Quality Lead for lessons learned to date from site teams and subcontractors.
  • Compare, contrast Quality effectiveness per project to continuously develop areas for improvement.
  • Refine the cairn operational quality system focusing on continued improvement of adoption throughout the operations platform via Cairn key project teams and subcontractors.
  • Establish, monitor and continuously interrogate the standard quality specifications across Cairn developments, coordinating with the Quality Supervisors for feedback from site and workmanship perspective.
  • Analyse weekly Quality data from across the operational platform including customer care. Evaluate and interrogate data to identify and spot potential Quality issues.
  • Provide monthly reports on quality performance and issues raised for inclusion in the Monthly Meetings / Quality reports etc.

The Candidate:

  • Previous technical experience in building surveying / inspection / engineering of quality standards
  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable
  • Ability to read technical specifications / drawings and diagnose technical problems
  • Ability to evaluate and manipulate data
  • Curious tenacity towards problem solving with a result-oriented mindset
  • Ability to develop collaborative relationships with stakeholders internally and externally
  • Takes accountability to challenge, question and drive toward resolution
  • Clear verbal and written communication essential
