We are recruiting for this upcoming role with an anticipated start date in Q1 2026.
The Bid/Tender Writer will support Cairn’s growth strategy by producing high-quality, compliant, and persuasive bid and tender submissions for B2G, B2B, and strategic partnership opportunities. This role will reports to Director of Strategic Partnerships and manage the end-to-end bid process, ensuring timely delivery of winning proposals that align with Cairn’s brand, governance standards, and commercial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Bid Management & Coordination
- Lead the preparation of bids and tenders across CIO’s four pillars, ensuring compliance with client requirements and internal governance.
- Develop bid plans, timelines, and content schedules; coordinate inputs from subject matter experts across CIO, Finance, and technical teams.
- Maintain a central bid library including templates, case studies, CVs, and evidence documents for reuse and consistency.
- Conduct post-bid reviews and lessons learned sessions to improve future submissions.
- Track bid success rates and maintain reporting dashboards for CIO leadership.
Content Development
- Write clear, compelling responses for PQQs, ITTs, and RFPs, tailoring language and tone to evaluation criteria.
- Draft executive summaries, method statements, and supporting documents that highlight Cairn’s unique selling points and compliance.
- Edit and proofread all submissions to ensure accuracy, clarity, and brand consistency.
- Ensure all bids meet compliance standards and internal quality assurance processes.
Research & Analysis
- Gather and analyse information from internal teams and external sources to strengthen bid responses.
- Monitor tender portals (eTenders, frameworks) and identify new opportunities aligned with CIO strategy.
- Support development of win themes and bid strategies based on market trends and competitor insights.
The candidate;
- 3+ years’ experience in bid/tender writing within construction, real estate, or professional services.
- Strong writing and editing skills with proven ability to produce persuasive, compliant content.
- Excellent organisational skills; able to manage multiple deadlines under pressure.
- Proficiency in MS Office, familiarity with Adobe InDesign and bid management tools an advantage.
- Knowledge of Irish public procurement processes and frameworks.
- Experience collaborating with PMO teams and understanding project governance.
- APMP or similar bid/proposal management certification
