Cairn has a unique opportunity for a high calibre Construction Management Graduate/ Construction Planning Engineer to assist in the provision of services under the direction of the Construction Planner.
This role will involve working directly with the construction planning team and the project site team, to implement and maintain construction programmes. Which will include various responsibilities associated with construction planning such as look ahead phasing plans, marks ups and site progress walks from initial concept design to the final handover to a customer. We require a motivated team player with a with a keen construction interest in civils, residential and high-rise developments. Experience would be beneficial but is not a requirement to begin your career.
This role will be based on-site in Cork and it will be a FTC until Feb 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and assist in developing the master program across all Cairn projects through each Gateway process (Concept to Construction to handover)
- Assist, maintain and review detailed construction programmes, through providing accurate and timely data where applicable.
- Input to developing phasing plans and handover strategies.
- Implement project controls procedures.
- Support programme progress and reporting.
- Liaise with project site team and Cairn departments. (Sales/ Design/ Commercial)
- Collaborate within a Project Team environment.
The Candidate:
- Third level qualification in Construction Management or Engineering field
- Full, clean drivers license
- An ability to achieve demanding time and quality targets.
- To have good spoken and written communication skills
- To be methodical, pay attention to detail and be accurate
- To be good at working with people at all levels and willing to work in a team.
- To be self-motivated with ability to work on own initiative
- To be able to co-ordinate a number of different projects at the same time.
- To be willing to accept responsibility for completing designated tasks
