We are currently looking for a high calibre Finishing Foreperson or to join our team in Cork on a 2 year FTC.

Key responsibilities:

Typically, the candidate will be expected to undertake and assist with the following duties:

  • Ownership of the management of Health and Safety on the project.
  • Commercial awareness of scope of subcontractor's package.
  • Understand target delivery programme and RTS/RTO dates, weekly reporting of same and active intervention to prevent programme delays.
  • Continuous inspection of works on site, raising and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Ensure indirections are completed, sign off sheets filled out and IFCOs closed on DMS platform (Zutec).
  • Management and coordination of subcontractors and service providers to ensure testing and commissioning timelines are met.
  • Management of snagging labourer(s) to ensure unit handover in the most efficient and quality manner.
  • Completion of daily allocation sheets for site labour and materials.
  • Take control of unit from plastering/skimming stage onwards, through 2nd & 3rd fix, snagging, and handover of unit.
  • Attend and assist at daily whiteboard meetings.
  • Take control of Snag List and close out with relevant subcontractors.
  • Liaise with the Site Administrator, Completions Coordinator and Sales Team, providing regular progress updates on unit handover times.
  • Liaising with Homeowners and Potential Purchasers, ensuring best in class customer service.
  • Address aftercare issues in a prompt manner and raise recurring issues to aftercare team.
  • Instil a best-in-class customer service and experience for all stakeholders and be a strong advocate for the Cairn brand.

The Candidate:

  • Trade background preferable
  • An ability to achieve demanding time and quality targets.
  • To have good spoken and written communication skills
  • To be methodical, pay attention to detail and be accurate
  • To be good at working with people at all levels and willing to work in a team.
  • To be self-motivated with ability to work on own initiative
  • To be able to co-ordinate a number of different projects at the same time.
  • To be willing to accept responsibility for completing designated tasks.
