We are seeking a commercially minded Senior Analyst to join our high-impact commercial finance team. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence strategic decisions, partner cross-functionally, and drive performance across Cairn’s development portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

Project & Performance Analysis 

  • Evaluate site-level performance through detailed project appraisals.
  • Participate in monthly Commercial Review Meetings, focusing on financial performance and variance analysis.

Strategic Planning & Forecasting

  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and scenario modelling in support of the FP&A manager and the Head of Commercial Finance.
  • Deliver insights that inform strategic decisions and risk/opportunity assessments.

Cross-Functional Business Partnering 

  • Partner with Cost Planning, QS, Construction, Planning, and Business Development teams to align financial insights with operational decisions.
  • Act as a trusted advisor across the enterprise, translating financial data into actionable commercial strategies.

Data & Continuous Improvement 

  • Develop data-driven insights using tools like Power BI and Excel.
  • Lead ad-hoc projects focused on process optimisation and smarter ways of working.

The Candidate: 

  • Qualified Financial Professional (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA Ireland) aligned with an Irish Accountancy body with strong commercial finance experience.
  • Proven ability to distil complex data into clear, actionable insights. Strong relationship builder with excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI. Analytical thinker with a proactive mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Detail-oriented with a passion for quality and professional growth.
