We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented PMO Project Manager who will play a pivotal role in supporting and ensuring the effective delivery of the PMO mandate across construction, operations, and commercial functions within Cairn. This role will involve close collaboration with various departments to streamline processes, enhance reporting accuracy, and drive operational efficiencies.
The successful candidate will work closely with other business functions supporting in effective dissemination of key strategic messaging, ways of working improvements, business-as-usual (BAU) reporting as well as supporting support strategic initiatives that inform and enhance construction delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget, in a KPI driven environment, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with various stakeholders within the business to gather insights and inform strategic decisions.
- Monitor initiative and PMO project progress and provide regular updates to the PMO Project Manager.
- Junior PMO PM would support the PMO mandate of improved reporting through helping develop, maintain and continually improve reporting process from cross functional reporting up to executive level reporting.
- The successful candidate will have cross functional collaboration with functions including but not limited to Technical, Quality, Customer & Aftercare, Health & Safety Construction Planning and Delivery, Cost Planning & Commercial.
- Help consolidate project level information to provide portfolio level analysis to inform business decisions and drive improvement.
- Support construction and operations teams in identifying and implementing ways of working improvement opportunities.
- Identify and mitigate Project risks to ensure success.
- Maintain relevant documentation and ensure all records are up-to-date.
- Participate in project meetings and provide administrative support as needed.
- Assist and support the Construction planning team in the development strategic project planning integrations.
- Support the establishment, tracking and reporting of annual business wide KPIs
- Continually improve the tracking, control and strategic deployment of our data to support best practice and support the broader continual improvement mandate within the business.
The Candidate:
- 3 years’ experience in a similar in a Construction related Management role or analytic PMO environment.
- Previous Construction or business consultancy experience is desirable but not essential.
- A strong understanding of data management and analytics (Power BI, Excel, PowerPoint,) as well as the ability to drive engagement and change through clarity of thought and presentation.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and interpret effective Project Management drivers, with a strong focus on delivery.
- Ability to multitask, work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working collaboratively as part of the wider team while also working autonomously on own initiatives.
- Strong communicator who enjoys building new relationships.
- Excellent attention to detail & organisational skills.
- Previous experience implementing process improvements across a team a benefit.
- A curious mindset and a desire to seek continual improvement
